Last night the Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, celebrated artists that have topped the music charts. Among the many highlights of the night, some included host Kelly Clarkson's opening in which she honored the victims of the Texas school shooting by asking people to take a moment of action instead of moment of silence, and Janet Jackson being honored with the Icon Award - becoming the first woman to every receive that honor. With a night full of celebrities under one roof, ofcourse I had to recap my favorite looks of the night.
AJ Gibson
TV host, AJ Gibson has to be one of the most stylish TV personalities to ever exist. I love how comfortable he is in exploring with print, texture, and colors. What I loved about his Suit Supply cream and white suit was how effortless it looked. Plus paired with sneakers it was the perfect combo for his red carpet appearance accompanied by his longtime boyfriend, Emile Ennis Jr. #love

Dua Lipa
Singer, Dua Lipa has been having an amazing year, especially with the success of her hit “No Rules” which she performed last night, but the real showstopper before she took the stage was her arrival to the Billboards red carpet. From the low-cut to shoulder structure, the metallic glare, and accessories her whole 80's glam look by Alexandre Vauthier just came together. Plus, I love that when she performed she also pulled off another purple number, this time shorter. I’d like to say she was my favorite look of the night.

Ne-Yo
Singer and judge on NBC’s World of Dance, Neyo set the tone in a fun red Calvin Klein suit, paired with YSL shoes, and can’t forget the dapper brooch. While the daring color can sometimes clash with the red carpet it worked perfect as the suit was paired with other colors. I love how his stylist, Apuje Kalu, incorporated some unexpected beige and black, which to many it wouldn’t have worked for. By adding the beige hat, gold lining shades, and gold brooch it made a smooth transition among the distinct colors.

Hailey Baldwin
Model and TV personality, Hailey Baldwin really brought an effortless touch to the red carpet. In a metallic nude, Alexandre Vauthier dress, with a plunging neckline she really had her own moment on the carpet. Other minor details which I think worked with this look was her short hair plus gold accessories. It wasn’t too much or too little, it was just right for a night like the Billboards.

Bretman Rock
There is no need to introduce this young man, very talented Youtuber known for his amazing makeup skills but can I just say Bretman Rock's style is also one to watch. I love a good detail and these vintage pants were the perfect touch to the carpet. When in doubt men, just go for one standout piece and the rest will be history. I also loved that he unbuttoned the shirt, and had gold accessories. Yes this look was a winner for me.

Taylor Swift
If you are going to be a special guest, this is what you arrive in! Taylor Swift made her return to award shows in a Versace gown. From petals, to metallic touches, and slit it all did it for me - especially in this soft pink tone it was perfect for her. Fun fact, according to sources this dress took 800 hours to make, and it was well worth it.

Khalid
I usually am really stuck with singer Khalid’s red carpet outfits, but there’s something to admire about an artist that’s true to his style. Last night, he was able to perfectly embody his own style while still keeping it trendy. From the hoodie detail to the burnt orange pants and white sneakers, it was very on trend and then the gingham blazer I think is really what brought the look together. He gave me all the vibes of “I’m her to get an award and then back to work.” I can’t hate on a man that won New Artist of the Year award and performed Love Lies on the Billboard stage, he is obviously doing something right.

Águeda López
Model and wife to the talented Luis Fonsi, Águeda López made this white Julien Macdonald dress work for her. The uniquely placed cutouts gave it the youthful and fun touch that was perfect for this carpet. Some people were too overdressed, or under dressed but only a few hit the mark exactly and Águeda definitely brought her flare to the carpet.

Jesse McCartney
Honestly haven’t heard about Jesse McCartney in the longest but he sure made a comeback to the carpet yesterday in a custom RichFresh deep teal suit. He was another person that went for a more refreshing look. With this monochromatic suit it could’ve easily looked like too much but choosing to go with a shade of teal, helped keep it very youthful.

Padma Lakshmi
Top Chef host, Padma Lakshmi was so excited to finally be dressed by The Blonds, and this metallic dress did not disappoint. She brought fun, elegance, and style all the ingredients for a perfect red carpet moment. Plus a touch of sexy with the very high side slit. This is metallic warrior done right at the Billboards.
